Intellectum’s mission is to serve humans and society not only via publishing but also via civil society’s actions.
Intellectum is characterised by the principles of freedom, democracy and equality. The following are defined as the main pillars of Intellectum’s work:

- preservation of history and art as vital elements of human identity and culture
To facilitate its purpose, Intellectum aims at:
- the mobilisation and active involvement of scientists and intellectuals in general
- the promotion of interdisciplinary research on legal, political, social, historical and philosophical-moral issues
- the implementation of initiatives and actions within the sphere of civil society
- the analysis of history, arts and culture, as well as the showcase of new cultural trends
- the emergence of an international forum for reflection and discourse
