Project description:

Translation of the journal’s articles from Greek to English  and vice versa

Job description:

1. Translating high-end articles and interviews of various disciples & thus gaining a diverse and stimulating experience in translations

Requirements:

1. Graduate or final-year Student who has completed at least 80% of required credits of discipline related to English literature and/or Greek-English translation
2. Able to manage his/her own work and meet deadlines
3. Pays particular attention to detail and quality
4. Very good use of MS Office or Open Office platform
5. Very good knowledge of specialized software (e.g. MemoQ, Trados)  will be considered as a valuable asset
6. Fluency in both Greek and English; very good knowledge of other languages (Italian, German or Spanish) will be considered as an asset

As the vast majority of internships, this is also an unpaid internship.
However, the contribution of each translator is publicly acknowledged and particular attention is paid to the improvement of translator’s personal skills.
Nevertheless, following an agreement with Kilgray, all selected interns will have the opportunity to learn & fully utilise for one year the excellent MemoQ Pro.
