Dr. Sophia Giovanoglou is a member of the Intellectum editorial board.

After her graduation from the School of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she embarked on an LLM Course on "Equality Studies" at the University College Dublin.

Her doctoral thesis on "Institutional Problems of Social Reintegration of Ex-Offenders" was published in 2006 (Sakkoulas Publications).

She has been assigned since 2004 as a post-doctorate reseacher at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She co-ordinates since then the "DIODOS" Programme, which aims at bringing together young prisoners with law students of the Aristotle University.
